House Rules
Please read through this short list of guidelines to help make your experience as pleasant as possible. If you have questions about any specific kind of play (such as any of our restricted activities), please reach out to us at sacralafterparty@gmail.com.
Diversity and Inclusion: Sacral welcomes everyone, regardless of gender, orientation, race, religion, ability, disability, or body type.
Privacy and Confidentiality: We take our members’ and guests’ privacy and confidentiality seriously. Do not “out” other people you see here. Phones, computers, or other devices are not allowed in event spaces. Please keep them inside your bags.
Consent: ALL PLAY MUST BE CONSENSUAL, and all consent should be CLEAR, EXPLICIT, ENTHUSIASTIC, and INFORMED and should be obtained before any activities begin. Do not touch anyone or any possessions without prior consent. Consent cannot be obtained through coercion, pressure, or misdirection, and any attempt to do so will not be tolerated. If you feel pressured by anyone, please see a volunteer right away.
Outside the building:
- Attire must be street legal.
- No sexual behavior outside
Inside the building:
- No cell phones or other electronic devices capable of recording.
- Pay attention to posted signs. Do not enter any areas that are marked as no entry.
- Clean up after yourself, this means your scene and your snacks.
- Clean spills up quickly, ask a volunteer if you need assistance with cleaning.
- Sanitize all the equipment that you’ve used.
- If you’re unclothed, put a towel between you and any furniture you sit on.
- Strip the bed when you are finished and put used sheets and towels in laundry hampers.
- Respect other people’s play. No loud voices, no judgements.
- No interrupting or tromping through other people’s scenes. If you have a concern about a scene, talk to a volunteer.
The Sacral After Party encourages the exploration and celebration of the many facets of human sexuality, but we are unable to allow the following activities:
Prohibited Activities
- No drugs or playing while impaired. If you see someone who is impaired, let a volunteer know.
- No guns or objects shaped like guns.
- No fire play, fire Cupping, or candle-wax play. These activities require a per-instance permit issued by the City of Seattle. Cell popping, branding, and heated wax play are still allowed.
- No solid-state power supply electrical “wands.” All the solid-state power supply type ‘wands” are currently banned. This includes the Kinkalbs neon wand, the Nova violet wand, the Sian violet ray device, and all other similar devices.
- No Scat plays. Scat play is defined as the intentional incorporation of feces into a scene. This is not to be confused with anal play or other types of play where feces may be incidental to or accidental.
- No watersports- This facility does not have appropriate facilities for containment or cleanup.
- No asphyxiation
- No aerial arts - No silks, slings, straps, trapeze, lyra, or things of a similar nature.
- No Knife Play- Staff need to know when you are using sharp objects in your scene to prevent unintentional injury.
- No Blood play- Any play which involves the intentional use of blood in a scene requires special monitoring and clean up. No airborne blood.
- No Breath Play- or any play that impedes oxygen to the brain.
Restricted Activities: Event Coordinator Permission Required
For the safety and comfort of all attendees, please check in with the Event Coordinator/EC prior to beginning your scene. The Event Coordinator will evaluate each of these activities on a case-by-case basis and they have the authority to approve or deny these activities.
- Suspensions - Check in with the EC before your scene. Monitors can help you locate a ladder and set up your hard point. Self-suspensions require approval plus a knowledgeable spotter.
- Whips - approval for whips is space dependent, please check in with the EC first and be mindful of the art.
- Takedown Resistance or Consensual “Forced” Sex Play - EC will evaluate on a case-by-case basis.
- Loud, potentially disruptive, or potentially messy activities - Please consult with the EC and alert the volunteers on duty of any protective measures required.
- Masturbation: Do not masturbate to other people’s scenes without explicitly negotiating with them prior to a scene. If you would like to include masturbation as part of a scene, please check with an EC first.
- Solo Play: Solo or practice-style play is space dependent and requires EC permission.
